About HowToBoostMetabolism.com

HowToBoostMetabolism.com is an independent resource dedicated to helping adults understand how their metabolism actually works — and what the science really says about supporting it. We focus on practical, honest, evidence-based information about metabolic health, nutrition, movement, sleep, and the supplements people are curious about.

Our mission

The internet is full of “miracle” metabolism claims, fake before-and-after stories, and products that promise the impossible. We started this site to do the opposite: to cut through the hype and explain what genuinely has research behind it — and to be just as clear about what does not.

Who writes this site

This site is written and edited by Tamara.

Being straight with you about who she is matters more to us than sounding impressive: Tamara is not a doctor, a registered dietitian or a personal trainer. She is an experienced health blogger who has spent years reading the primary research on metabolism and translating it into plain English.

That shapes how this site works. We do not ask you to trust our authority, because we are not claiming any. Instead, every significant claim links to the study it came from — usually the paper itself, not a press release — so you can check it yourself. When the honest answer is "the effect is real but small," we say that, even when a bolder claim would sell better. When we do not know, we say that too.

What that also means: nothing here is medical advice, and it is not a substitute for your own clinician. If you have a thyroid condition, PCOS, diabetes, are pregnant or postpartum, or take any medication, please talk to a professional who knows your history. See our Medical Disclaimer.

How we create our content

  • We base our articles on peer-reviewed studies, clinical research, and reputable health sources.
  • We avoid exaggerated promises. If the evidence for something is weak or mixed, we say so.
  • We update our content as new research becomes available.
  • We clearly separate “what’s proven” from “what’s still uncertain.”

What we are — and what we’re not

We are an educational and informational website. We are not doctors, and nothing on this site is medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before changing your diet, exercise routine, or starting any supplement. Please see our Medical Disclaimer for details.

How we stay free

Creating well-researched content takes time. To keep this site free, we earn small commissions when readers buy products through some of our links, at no extra cost to you. This never affects our recommendations. See our Affiliate Disclosure for full transparency.
